GridPay FAQ

What is GridPay?

GridPay is GridPlay’s universal roleplay‑only currency system designed to make in‑world roleplay more fun without involving real money. It is not a money transmitter, not a financial service, and has zero real‑world value. P$ is a fictional currency used exclusively for roleplay within GridPlay.

Why do I need a GridPay balance?

GridPay 4 is a centralized currency system used across all GridPlay products and services. Many systems — such as GridHaul 3 deliveries — pay or charge using P$. Example: If someone completes a GridHaul delivery to your hub, the payment is handled through your GridPay balance.

How much does it cost to have a GridPay balance?

Nothing at all. The GridPay card is completely free to obtain and use. GridPlay sells optional roleplay products that help you earn or spend P$.

Do you sell P$ for real currency?

No. P$ cannot be bought or sold for any real‑world currency, including Linden Dollars (L$). Our Terms of Use strictly prohibit exchanging P$ for any other currency.

How do I earn P$?

There are several ways to earn P$ within the GridPlay ecosystem:

  • GridHaul deliveries
  • GridPay Punchclock (work‑based earnings)
  • Slesto machine for the Omniline
  • GridPay Business Package tools
  • Giving/receiving P$ through the card HUD

More earning methods are planned for future updates.

Is this only for Second Life?

Yes. GridPay is exclusively for use within Second Life.

Do you support OpenSimulator?

No. There are currently no plans to expand GridPlay or GridPay to OpenSim.

How do I get more P$ if my balance is zero?

We are actively working on additional ways for users to earn P$. In the meantime, you can use existing systems like GridHaul or Punchclock‑based jobs.
